1. Start
Mr. Brown started the meeting at 16:37
2. Assessment of the situation
Most bug fixes and final tests have been completed already. Design document
updates, ending implementation document and conclusion document are still
to be done, and we will be giving some demo presentations of the product
at the end of the week.
3. Discussion
3.1 Bug fixing
Almost all bugs have been solved both concerning Analyzer and Animator
modules. When running the Animator, sometimes the UFO panel is not
visible by default and the user has to drag the Note panel down to be
able to visualize it. The Analyzer bug about the dropped aplication
unit (bug 22) is discussed. The welcome page that appears when the
Animator is launched could be the first page of the manual, or a
localised fixed html file. At least its contents should be reviewed.
3.2 Demo presentations
The H-group is willing to present the product twice during this week,
both on thursday (15:00) and on friday (15:00), according to the
availability of the audience (essentially Mr. Kojo) and the facilities
of the department. To be able to run the Analyzer module, it is needed
that some libraries and programs (pcap library, automake-1.6 and
autoconf-2.5) are installed on the department facilities. Maybe Turjo
could ask the administrator to take this in charge, if it is possible.
In what the demos are concerned, Mr. Vainio will create some scenario
files and Mr. Brown will design some speech skeleton. The group will try
to meet at 14:00 on thursday or at least before the presentation begins,
that is most likely before 15:00.
3.3 Remaining documents
Design document/implementation document: some last changes and updates
must still be added to these documents.
User manual has to be completed, but is in good shape now.
Conclusion document: still to be done, its structure and contents are
discussed.
Release: installation package for Windows can be done (already some
tests have been done), for Linux it will be a tar containing a jar file
and some sample scenario files (animation sequence files) as it is for
Windows.
Release: download site will be a new section in TWiki "Download" and
later on will be ported to a fixed html format.
Release: all documents produced and other contents are available in
Twiki and in the forum so they will be ported into a CD and made
available to supervisors and tutors.
Javadocs are ready. Headers in front of every source code file
containing information about the license will not be added due to time
restrictions.
As a deadline, on thursday night all documents should be completed so as
the CD can be compiled.
3.4 Other tasks
Pictures from the trip to Petrozavodsk will be burnt into a CD by Mr.
Laine. A mail to the P-group for the end of the project will be created
during next week, and a day for a party must be decided.
4. Action points
All members should complete their part of the user manual.
- Mr. Laine: take care of installation package for Windows, publish documents
on thursday and create CD for tutors and supervisors.
- Mr. Vainio: complete his parts of the design and implementation document,
create scenarios for the demo presentations, email Turjo about installing
pcap library, and appropriate versions of automake and autoconf.
- Mr. Brown: create a skeleton for demo presentation speeches, email P-group
about status and deadlines to documents.
- Mr. Aarniala: take care of Linux installation package matters.
- Mr. Arrastia: complete his parts of the implementation document and user
manual, and maybe create a logo for Windows installation.
- Mr. Fernández: write conclusion document.
