1. Start
Mr. Brown started the meeting at 08:30.

2. Assessment of the situation
Now that the requirements document is finished, the design phase can start.
Also, the review for the req. document on next Tuesday should be planned.

3. Discussion
    The upcoming review:
    - The task of reviewing the chapters of the document was divided among the
group members in the following manner:

Aa Ar Br Fe La Va
      - Ch 1, Introduction: X X X
      - Ch 2, User requirements: X X X X
      - Ch 3, Problem domain model: X X
      - Ch 4, Network scenarios: X X
      - Ch 5, Use cases: X X
      - Ch 6, Analyzer sys. req.: X X
      - Ch 7, Animator sys. req.: X X X
      - Ch 8, Protocol events file: X X X
      - Ch 9, High-level architecture: X X X X

    - Mr. Arrastia noted that there is no non-functional requirements that
concern monitor resolution, this should be addressed in the requirements
      document

    Design issues:
    - Mr. Vainio: The intermediate XML format should be as optimal as possible
and not specific to any animation type
    - Mr. Laine: We should find what things are common for all of the animations
and derive the XML format based on that information. The XML should be
easy for the Animator to read in and process
    - Mr. Brown: Don't focus on extendability, a good design of the XML document
format will probably leave us with enough extensibility anyway
    - The XML format should be specified as soon as possible, as it is the
interface between the Analyzer and Animator and thus something that
both groups (Helsinki and Petrozavodsk) need ASAP.

    - Preliminary discussions on the design of the application where held and
initial design tasks were assigned to group members

    - Poseidon will be used for drawing UML diagrams so that there's a
common format for the files that everybody can edit.

4. Action points
    - Mr. Laine and Mr. Brown: draft of UI for next meeting
    - Mr. Arrastia, Mr. Fernandez and Mr. Aarniala: draft of the data structures
    - Mr. Vainio: draft of mapping timelines and events to the animations
      (control signals framework)
    - Mr. Aarniala: write a coding conventions document for the project

5. End
Mr. Brown ended the meeting at 10:00
